Certificate Programme on Energy Management and Audit & Preparatory for CEM & CEA

Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata, has been conducting the 2-year full time AICTE Accredited Post graduate Diploma in Energy Management Course since 1993, which is now upgraded to a Master Degree program (being renamed as MBA-PS) offered by the Calcutta University from 2009. Now, to cater the need amongst the working executives particularly in the energy intensive industries, i.e. almost all the process industries, manufacturing as well as transport sector, the institute is organizing a 2 Weeks (Full Time) Certificate Programme viz. Short Term Course (STC) in Energy Management and Audit.

So far, sixeen STCs have been successfully conducted. The standard module has 80 contact hours. However, the course is also customized depending on the need from the floor and accordingly one-week, two-weeks and one month modules are also made available.

The focus of this Interactive Certificate program, inter alia, is as follows:

  • Two Weeks (Full Time)
  • 2 Months (Evening; Monday to Friday)
  • 3 Months (Evening; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) - As per organizational need.

Admission Criteria & Selection Procedure

Working executives (BE/ BTECH/ ME/ MTECH/ Post graduate in Science or Management/ Diploma Engineers or equivalent).

Persons who are appearing for Certified Energy Manager/ Auditor (CEM/ CEA) Examination of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. Also for those, who, by becoming CEM/CEA of BEE, wish to acquire the eligibility to directly appear for CEM International of Association of Energy Engineers (USA) held in India.
