An event was held on June 06, 2023 to commemorate the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the 1st of June ,2023 between the Moscow State Linguistic University, Moscow and IISWBM, Kolkata and to felicitate the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, His Excellency Mr Alexey M Idamkin.
His Excellency, Mr. Alexey M Idamkin, Consul General of Russian Federation in Kolkata and Ms Debasmita Moulick, Advisor for India- Russia bilateral projects, were present at the event.
This is an important milestone in the rich history of our Institute-the first Business school in India, more so as it is the 70th Jubilee year of IISWBM. Incidentally, Moscow State Linguistic University, formerly known as Maurice Thorez Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages is the largest and the oldest university in Russia that specializes in linguistics and foreign languages. Hence, this program also celebrates the coming together of two firsts!
According to this understanding between Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU), (Russian Federation) and Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), (Republic of India), this accord will promote cooperation between the two Academic institutions in the field of education and academics.
This will include
1. Development of joint fundamental and applied research and innovative activities.
2. Development and implementation of joint educational programs in the form of network alliances, namely:
- exchange of faculty
- exchange of students
3. Joint seminars, conferences, symposia, short-term courses and other academic events. 4. Exchange of educational and academic materials, publications.
This year the first student exchange program will begin where 6 students have already enrolled under the leadership of Dr. Madhumita Mohanty, Prof and Head of the Dept of MBA -HRM. They will be leaving for Moscow very shortly. Thereafter 6 students from the Moscow State Linguistic University, will be arriving at IISWBM for their exchange program.
